• Rental information: rental ID, power bank ID, station location, rental start and end time, return status, rental amount and any service issue connected with the rental.
• Payment and transaction information: payment status, transaction ID, payment amount, date and time, refund information, chargeback information and limited payment-method details made available to us by Stripe, such as card brand or last four digits.
• Contact and support information: your name, email address, phone number, messages, screenshots, photos or other information you provide when contacting us about a rental or payment issue.
• Website technical information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, pages visited, referring website, date and time of access, and technical log information generated when you visit our website.
• Fraud and security information: information needed to investigate unusual activity, payment disputes, misuse of a machine, missing power banks, security incidents or suspected fraud.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect or store your full payment card number, CVV, PIN or complete card credentials. Payment credentials are entered directly through Stripe’s payment services or Stripe payment terminals.

We do not operate or control CCTV belonging to a venue where a Last Percent machine is installed. Any venue CCTV is controlled by that venue under its own privacy policy.

4. Why we use your data

We use personal data to:

• provide and manage power bank rentals;
• process payments, refunds and payment disputes;
• confirm the release and return of power banks;
• respond to customer support requests and complaints;
• prevent fraud, theft, misuse and unauthorised activity;
• keep accounting, tax and business records;
• maintain and improve our machines, website and customer service;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. Legal bases for processing

We process your personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so:

• Contract: where processing is necessary to provide your rental, process payment, manage returns or respond to issues arising from your rental.
• Legitimate interests: where processing is necessary for fraud prevention, security, business administration, service improvement, protecting our property and handling customer support.
• Legal obligation: where we need to keep records, respond to lawful requests, meet tax obligations or comply with other legal duties.
• Consent: where required for optional cookies, analytics or marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.

6. Stripe and payment processing

We use Stripe to process card payments and help manage payment security, fraud prevention, refunds and payment disputes.

When you pay by card, Stripe may collect and process payment information, transaction information, device information and fraud-prevention information in accordance with Stripe’s own privacy policy and applicable payment laws.

Stripe may act as an independent controller for certain processing needed to provide payment services, prevent fraud, comply with financial regulations and meet its legal obligations.

7. Who we share data with

We may share personal data with trusted third parties where necessary:

• Stripe: for payment processing, refunds, fraud prevention and payment disputes.
• Hosting and technology providers: including Netlify and other providers that host or support our website, systems and email.

• Authorities and regulators: where required by law, court order, legal process or to protect our rights, customers, equipment or the public.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not routinely provide identifiable customer rental data to the venue hosting a Last Percent machine.

8. International transfers

Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we will use appropriate safeguards required by data protection law, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections.

9. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements.

• Rental, transaction and accounting records may be kept for up to six years where required for tax, accounting or legal purposes.
• Customer support records are normally kept only as long as needed to resolve the issue and maintain an appropriate record of the outcome.
• Security and fraud-related records may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary to protect Last Percent, customers or third parties.
